Student must have completed the General English program or have acceptable minimum TOEFL iBT scores in Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing, or a TOEIC score of 550.

Student requires a valid Study & Work Permit (C-30 Exemption) for the period of the program.

Student must be 19 years of age or older.


The Study and Work Experience program offers students extensive English language skills including grammar, conversation, writing, speaking, listening, pronunciation and vocabulary.

Added to the language training will be a portion of this course where the student will be placed in a workplace environment, this will allow students to improve and their classroom skills while getting workplace experience.

Student will complete a 50-hour job placement workshop where they will learn resume writing, interview, and on-the job skills.

The major topics include:

Grammar and Conversations – Students will reinforce important Grammar word classes and apply them confidently to a one on one conversation. Student will listen to TOEFL audio materials to gradually improve their pronunciation and conversational rhythm.

Writing Office Documents – Students will learn how to write effective office style emails, memos and letters. As well as how to prepare presentation and meeting based materials.

Interviewing – Students will be given interviews to practice their interview skills. Students will learn how to position themselves as the best candidate possible for the job. They will also learn sourcing, resume preparation and interview follow-up techniques.

Academic and Work Advisor – With your advisor you will choose your industry and/ or position. Once this is completed you will learn skills to help you in your job placement, such as handling phone calls, greeting clients, and socializing at work.
